about me
Ian Dawber FSIAD
I am an elected member of the ‘Society of Illustrators, Artist and Designers’ attaining Fellow Membership. My paintings have been exhibited in ‘The Stockport Open’ 2018/2019, ‘WCAF Open Exhibition’, SAG 2018/19/20/21 Annual Exhibition, ‘Wigan Open 2018’, ‘Liverpool Art Fair 2019’, ‘TALP Open Art Exhibition 2019’ and ‘The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts Exhibition 2020 ‘Embody without Burden’, ‘Die Gedanken Sind Frei’ a 2020, ‘Manchester 2021’ (Deansgate Gallery Manchester), The Royal Cambrian Academy Open Exhibitions 2022/24 where two of my paintings achieved ‘Highly Commended’.
In 2025 I was a contestant on Sky Arts ‘Portrait Artist of the Year’ and my painting of Kyla Harris made the shortlist of three to go into the semi finals.
